Bible Quote

"What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's" (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)

Acne - Most Frequently Asked Questions

As more people learn about the diet, I invariable have been asked questions that I am posting here to further help in your quest for clear skin.  Remember that you should always talk to a doctor if you have special dietary needs.

  1. How long does the diet take to work?  The diet starts to work the moment you switch to it.  The key is to be fanatical about it.  Any derivation from the diet, such as the local pizzeria or fast food could cause a breakout.
  1. Do I have to stay on the diet once my skin clears?  Yes – you must absolutely stay on the all natural and organic diet to maintain clear skin.  Once your skin clears, cheating on the diet will show you that food is causing the problem.  For example, you’ve been on the diet for a month and are feeling bold because you have clear skin.  You take a chance one evening and start eating potato chips (non-organic), pizza (non-organic) and diet soda.  The next day you have a pimple(s).  This will provide unquestionable proof that something you ate caused the break-out.
  1. Is there a way to clear my skin any faster?  Not really – you want your body’s natural healing mechanisms to fight the problem, so you’ll want to avoid popping or playing the problem areas.  Juicing is a very good way to clean out your body, so I recommend drinking lots of fresh juice when you start the diet.  Supplementing with CoQ10 tablets will help and so will topical application of aloe vera gel.
  1. What about organic fish?  Not necessary – wild caught fish is fine.  Stay away from farm raised.  Salmon, tuna, halibut, haddock, cod, grouper, snapper, trout, mahi mahi and sea bass are all good fish to eat.  Stay away from shellfish (lobster, shrimp, scallops) catfish and swordfish.
  1. How about frozen organic pizza?  This is an interesting question because it gets into the processed food category.  Frozen organic pizza should be ok, but is not as good as you making it at home from fresh organic ingredients.  In general, you’ll want to steer clear of processed food, even when it is organic.
  1. I really like meat and cold cuts.  What can I do?  My advice is to buy only natural and organic meat and to eat less of it.  I only eat meat two or three times per month.  Also remember to stay away from pork.
  1. Do I need to use a lot of expensive topical treatments?  I don’t.  I only use all natural soaps and moisturizers that I buy predominately at Whole Foods.
